Celebrate the release of Emily's new book: Crafting Paper Flowers: A Visual Guide to Breathtaking Botanicals with an exclusive workshop learning to craft one of her most requested but never before shared classes: the paper ranunculus. You'll dive into the art of creating your very own realistic paper ranunculus.

Emily will fully lead you through the joys of European crepe paper. You will learn techniques to make your paper come alive through various techniques to create the perfect "fluffy" ranunculus in a host of bright and beautiful colors.

You will leave with enough materials to make half a dozen stems and the knowledge and resources to continue crafting more paper ranunculus at home!

Book is not included in ticket price. Reserve a copy here.

Artist bio: Emily Paluska is a Korean American botanical artist based in Washington DC. She started making flowers as a way to cope with postpartum depression—making one flower a day for a year, falling more in love with paper flower-making as the days passed. She is passionate about showing others how they too can use art as a way to connect and heal. Emily has taught hundreds of students how to make their own paper flowers. She has worked with the National Gallery of Art, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, HGTV Mag, Veranda, as well as many other companies and organizations. You can most likely find her under a pile of paper in her Capitol Hill studio painting flower petals late into the night.
