The color is great. It is a deep, vibrant, cardinal red that flows easily from my Lamy Safari. My only complaint is from the preview image, it's a bit misleading. The image seems to show it having some gold shimmer, but that's just a trick of the lighting of the photo reflecting light off of very saturated areas of the ink spill. The ink itself is just a deep red, but a very nice deep red.
