April 22 is Earth Day and we’ve rounded up a few of our most sustainable items to get the party started. We are mindful of our footprint and finding ways to show our gratitude for this beautiful, struggling planet.
At Penny Post, Seedlings immediately comes to mind when we think of Earth Day. Their envelopes and packaging are made of plantable seed paper, a biodegradable eco-paper that is made with post-consumer materials (no trees harmed for this paper!) and embedded with 100% non-invasive wildflower seeds. Penny Post also offers the Wild Notes notepad from The Card Bureau which includes a chipboard made of handmade seeded paper. So if it’s paper and flowers you’re after, look no further.
Sunshine Card, $8; Sea Glass Fountain Pen, $195; Earth Clock, $147; Mini Hoop Earrings, $39; Bottled Ink, $14; Wild Notes Notepad, $14; Party Snail Card, $6.50; Logical Notebook, $8.75; Baggu, $14.
Additionally, fountain pens are eco-friendly, especially if you refill them with bottled ink. With good care and maintenance, a quality fountain pen can last a lifetime, and Penny Post can definitely set you up with a quality fountain pen. We’ve also thrown in some earrings made of sustainably sourced mango wood, reusable Baggu bags, an ethical/eco-friendly notebook, a gorgeous new “Earth Clock” from Japan, and of course, a greeting card featuring a ready-to-party garden snail.
Penny Post is consciously incorporating earth-friendly items to our shelves all the time, and we hope you love them as much as we do!
