Vintage Dot Ruled Notebook Set, Field Notes

Field Notes' 65th limited Quarterly Edition for the winter of 2024 is the “Vintage” Edition. Revisiting some favorite materials, details, and production processes to create their brand-new and old-fashioned 3-Pack.

For the covers, a 100# “Royaltone” stock from the French Paper Company. It is named “Monarch Red,” but leans more towards the color of fine wine. Perhaps a 2012 Willamette Pinot Noir? The stock features a lovely linen texture that plays well with the embossed “Metallic Antique” gold ink.

The inside covers are printed with a geometric pattern that suggests the end-papers of a classic hardcover book.

Interior pages are “dot-ruled” using “Faded Antique Gold” ink on an off-white stock from Domtar. They’re also perforated for easy removal. The staples are also gold. Natch.
