Part-time Sales Associate
Penny Post is a paper store offering witty, sophisticated, and quality paper goods, writing materials, desk and office supplies, and wrapping paper in Old Town Alexandria. We have been offering quality goods in a welcoming creative atmosphere since 2017.
We are in search of a new part-time Sales Associate (20 hours/week). Sales Associate primarily would be responsible for creating a quality customer experience as a member of the sales team. This is a part-time position that reports directly to the Store Manager and Assistant Manager. Weekend hours and some holidays are required. Candidates should have two or more years experience in stationery retail. Preference will be given to those with custom stationery and/or design experience.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Taking an active role in our custom stationery department. This includes becoming acquainted with our custom vendors & sales tools, taking customer appointments, placing orders, and tracking orders through to completion.
- Fulfilling web orders
- Receiving and merchandising product
- Maintaining a clean store
- Meeting monthly and annual sales goals
