April 6: Save The Children's Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund
Save the Children has been operating in Ukraine since 2014, delivering essential humanitarian aid to children and their families. Their work currently provides children and families impacted by the conflict in Ukraine and around the world with immediate aid, such as food, water, hygiene kits, psychosocial support and cash assistance.
April 13: Global Empowerment Mission (Ukraine Refugee Crisis)
GEM’s aim is to provide grassroots efforts with a large institutional impact for the most vulnerable populations affected by disasters around the world. GEM is dedicated to restoring hope and opportunity in the lives of those most affected by disasters. The organization works as a first responder for disaster relief, bridges the gap between first response and development, and implements practices to ensure sustainable development. They are currently providing Ukrainian Refugees with stable housing and necessities. They are providing relocation assistance, evacuating women and children, and providing dignity and safety to those who have been traumatized.
April 20: Arcadia Center for Sustainable Food & Agriculture
Based on the historic grounds of Woodlawn Estate in Alexandria, Virginia, thanks to a landmark partnership with the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Arcadia manages four distinct program areas that address a specific need in the community, while collectively engaging consumers, farmers, schools, and institutions.
April 27: Spring2ACTion
Spring2ACTion, Alexandria’s Giving Day, is the time Alexandrians come together, uplift one another, and support the organizations that serve our community in the best of times and during challenging times. Spring2ACTion is an indispensable platform for local nonprofits to engage the community and raise critical funds.
